It’s hard to have perspective on one’s own life.  I didn’t get hit on the head, but I was a very sensitive child, very shy and cried fairly easily.  I could never understand why people were so “mean to each other” and it took years to realize that they just didn’t see things the way I did!

            I grew up in a poor family in Olympia, Washington.  I had open-heart surgery at 5, which I believe was significant in opening my sensitivity, empathy, and awareness of others.  I felt the suffering of other hospitalized children, sometimes as keenly as my own.

            Our family was not unique in the fact that my parents divorced when I was nine.  As the oldest of the children, I seemed to grow up more quickly than my peers.  I was one of the “nerdiest” kids in school, often asking to go to the library rather than attend a Pep Rally.

            In my twenties, I became fascinated with metaphysics, especially astrology.   Eventually I began to read the biographies of psychics with great attention.  I felt it would be “too cool” to be a psychic, but thought I had to be “born one” and would have to sit this life out!  (I didn’t know yet it was a skill than can be taught and developed, just like any other).

            I began to play simple telepathic games with my brother Joe, mentally sending the color of a card to one another.  “ Little hits” began to show up in my life.

            For instance, the morning Patricia Hearst was captured, about three hours before it aired on the news in San Francisco, I said to co-workers:  “The moon is in Pisces, crimes are often solved when the moon is in Pisces.”   No one was more stunned than I when we heard the news later that day!  “How did you know?” they asked.  I didn’t know how I knew.  I thought I was just saying a little non-important comment!

Eventually, I read a book on Dreams that suggested that 50% of dreams are prophetic.  With that in mind, I began to record my dreams.  I was amazed when my very first dream ultimately came true.  I dreamed that Skylab would land in Perth, Australia.   The dream was so vivid, I decided to call the newspaper in Perth and they published my prediction.  It did not hit the city directly but within 400 miles.The Editor of the West Australian paper said:  “In terms of space travel, that’s fairly close to the mark!”

            Shortly after that, I took training in Berkeley, California at Heartsong. I completed a nine-month intensive course and began to work professionally in l980.  Since then, I have done more than 20,000 readings.  I have traveled internationally and coast to coast, teaching my Lightworker Intensive course.  I have also lectured for the Edgar Cayce Foundation, Association for Research and Enlightenment, based in Virginia Beach.  In the l980’s I hosted my own cable TV program in LA called The Natural Psychic.  I have also appeared on various radio and television programs.
